The Rosary as a Spiritual Weapon
Just as Our Lady of Lepanto delivered Christendom from physical destruction, the Holy Rosary remains one of our most powerful spiritual weapons against the culture of death, especially the evil of abortion. (NOTE: Lyn’s bio can be read below her article here.)

Each time we pray the angelic salutation of the Hail Mary, we not only honour the Mother of God, but also adore the blessed fruit of her womb: Jesus Christ, the Incarnate Son of God, who sanctified the unborn by taking flesh in the womb of the Virgin Mary.
Our Response to a Spiritual Battle
To confront the evil of abortion, which is deeply entrenched in our society, Catholics cannot rely on secular or political strategies alone. While pro-life rallies and sidewalk counselling have their place, this is ultimately a spiritual battle.
For this reason, we must turn with confidence to the enduring power of this Marian devotion: the Holy Rosary. The true battlefront is spiritual, and it is fought on our knees through prayer, sacrifice and through the intercession of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
Origin of the Sanctus Infans Devotion
The Sanctus Infans Devotion arose from a conversation with a visiting traditional Benedictine Catholic priest at our SSPX chapel in Singleton, NSW. As I drove home in tears, overwhelmed by what I had learned about the destruction of unborn life—not only for social reasons, but also in acts that were offered in satanic abortion rituals—I knew I had to respond, even though I did not yet know how.
In that moment, the answer came clearly to my heart: the Rosary. After discussing the idea with a few trusted friends in the faith, they agreed to join me. What followed were months of planning, writing, and editing until the first devotional booklet was completed. The original devotion took about an hour to pray, but after a year—and with the valuable input of my closest sisters in Christ—I prepared the Sanctus Infans Devotional Booklet – Abridged Version.
During this time, we also chose the patron saints of the devotion: Our Lady of Guadalupe, Patroness of the Unborn; Saint Joseph, her most chaste spouse; Saint Benedict, in remembrance of the Benedictine priest whose conversation first inspired this work; Saint Philomena, patroness of youth; Saint Michael the Archangel, patron of all Christians; and the Holy Innocents, the infant boys and young children slain in place of Christ.
This work would not have been possible without the tireless efforts of Eliza Ladner, Jessica Morton, Linda McMillman, Linda Hernandez, and Sandy Cantwell, the original members of Sanctus Infans. Although the group came to an end after five years, the devotion itself was not forgotten.
More recently, after hearing deeply distressing testimony about babies who survived abortion only to be left without care, I was overcome with sorrow and knew I had to try to revive the Sanctus Infans Devotion. Within 24 hours of posting on the SSPX Facebook page, eight generous souls had answered the call, along with three original members and myself.
May this devotion be a humble offering of reparation, a plea for mercy, and a faithful witness to the dignity of every unborn child. Entrusted to Our Lady through the Holy Rosary, may it bear fruit for the protection of life and the glory of God.

Biography
My name is Lynette Mary Wade, though I am known to most as Lyn. I am 62 years of age, a mother of three, and grandmother of five. I was raised within the Methodist and Anglican Protestant traditions and, from an early age, was aware of God’s presence in my life, even before fully understanding the path to which He was calling me.
I met my husband in 1988, when I was 24 years old. Although he had been raised as a Catholic, he was not practising the faith at that time. We married outside the Church in 1990, and in the years that followed, God began working quietly yet profoundly in my heart.
For three years, I prayed each night that God would help me become the person He desired me to be. Although I did not then fully understand the depth of that prayer, I knew that my deepest desire was to please Him and to follow His will.
In His providence, God placed a pivotal person in my life to draw me closer to Himself. That person was Dorothy, a traditional Catholic who attended the Society of Saint Pius X (SSPX). What began as a single conversation developed into many more, and through them I was gradually led home to the Catholic faith.
Dorothy gave me a book on Fatima, and as I immersed myself in it, I recalled having watched The Miracle of Our Lady of Fatima at the age of ten. Although I had not fully understood it at the time, the film had touched me profoundly, and that grace bore fruit 14 years later. Dorothy also taught me how to pray the Rosary, and I still remember her gentle laughter as I learned, with the same joy and tenderness as though I were a child discovering God for the first time. Through the intercession of Our Blessed Mother, Mediatrix of All Graces, God poured abundant graces into my life.
Without any prompting, my husband began joining me in praying the Rosary. Not long afterwards, I attended my first Traditional Latin Mass at the SSPX, and my instruction in the Catholic faith began. Four months later, I was received into the Church alongside our son, who was then 13 months old. Receiving Our Lord in Holy Communion for the first time filled me with indescribable joy. My husband and I raised our children in the true faith, and among my fondest memories are those of preparing for Mass together in our Sunday best.
Today, my mission is firstly to save my soul, while obtaining the graces necessary for my family to return fully to the Church, and to work and pray for the end of abortion once and for all. Reparation to God is also important for the grave evil of taking untold millions of innocent little babies that belong to Him. Above all, I pray that my life stands as a testimony to God’s mercy, His providence, and the tender care of Our Blessed Mother in leading souls home to Him.
