Memory (memoria) is an aspect of the moral virtue of prudence. This is the perfect place to begin our investigation into the virtues, as we want to begin with a blank slate, so to speak, on which to build a solid spiritual life, so we can become as effective as possible when witnessing for life.
This week’s meditation is in the form of an audio talk on Memory and Virtue which is part of a series called The Goal of The Spiritual Life, by Fr. Fr. Ermatinger.
Click here to listen to the talk. It goes for 40 minutes, but even the first 12 or 13 minutes will give you some food for thought. The later section includes advice on choosing a Rule of Life, which is invaluable for anyone trying to achieve sanctity.
